The RONDINE 3 provides 33, 45, and 78 rpm and nine
other fixed speeds for vintage discs and half-speed
mastering. The very small DC belt-drive motor and
Lo-Noise power supply results in very low rumble
and ultra-low hum.Arm height is adjustable for all
discs. The Delrin platter is similar in composition
to the actual discs played and provides them with
excellent dampening. The reproduced sound is neutral.
The large diameter spindle bearing is both low friction
and low noise. Its Rek-O-Kut TranScribe arm is of
low mass with low friction bearings for audiophile
performance. Suspension is provided by four vibration
absorbent feet. Vertical cut discs are playable
with an extra modified headshell/cartridge. Supplied

Using styli of various sizes to overcome noise
in records caused by wear and abuse is a common
technique. Older records often require larger tips
for standard play. Up until now, such styli have
cost up to $125.00 each. To prevent damage, it is
often desirable to mount such delicate styli in
their own cartridges. A kit of five Stanton, custom
styli and five 500 series cartridges would normally

Esoteric Sound has put together
a kit of five Grado DJ-100, 2 - 5 Gram tracking
cartridges, each equipped with a different diameter,
custom-made stylus suited for vintage records. Each
stylus is conical/spherical in shape and can be
used for archival or casual play of records without

Moving Magnet Preamp
Add a turntable to an amp that has no phono
input or a second turntable to an amp with only
one phono input. This unit can be used to convert
any AUX input to phono use. This preamp will make
it possible to use any amplifier or mixing console
for playback with a turntable that is equiped with
a conventional, moving magnet phono cartridge. The
Preamp boosts the level of the magnetic cartridge
and also applies “record compensation”
in form of the RIAA curve. This adjusts relative
levels of bass and treble to match that of modern

a 2 gigabyte limit. For those of you recording long
radio shows or other events, this can be a real

simply stop the recording and open a second file.
